01

How Preflight finds it

It checks contact names, job titles and company names for an exact match against nine placeholder values: test, asdf, n/a, na, none, xxx, unknown, “-” and tbd.

02

Why it costs you

Placeholders count as “filled”, so your data looks more complete than it is. Then they show up in lists and reports. Counted and rated, not priced.

03

What “fixed” looks like

Fields covered by enrichment are backfilled with real values. Anything that can’t be resolved by rule is listed on the exception list you get at handover.

04

How it stays fixed

Where a field becomes a picklist, there’s nowhere to type “n/a”.
