How Preflight finds it

On HubSpot, it reads each open deal’s close date and compares it with the scan date. Attio has no built-in close date on deals. If you’ve added one, Preflight uses it. If you haven’t, the report says so, because a pipeline with no close dates can’t be forecast.

02

Why it costs you

Your forecast is built on close dates. A deal still “closing” three weeks ago is either lost or slipping, and either way the number is wrong.

The report shows the open value of these deals as forecast exposure, meaning pipeline that isn’t where your forecast says it is. That exposure is shown on its own and never added to the cost total. We don’t add rep time for it either: most of these deals are already priced as stuck deals, and we won’t count them twice.

03

What “fixed” looks like

Every open deal has a close date on or after handover day. Deals that are really dead get closed out, using the rule you set at kickoff.

04

How it stays fixed

Close date becomes a required field at the stages you choose. Radar (coming soon) is being built to flag deals as their dates slip.
