Preflight check
Deals stuck in a stage
Open deals that have sat in the same stage for more than 45 days.
How Preflight finds it
For every open deal, Preflight counts the days since the deal entered its current stage. On HubSpot it reads the stage-entry date HubSpot records for each pipeline stage. If a deal doesn’t have one, Preflight uses the deal’s last-modified date and says so in the report. On Attio it reads when the current stage value was set.
The threshold is one number, 45 days, for every stage.
Why it costs you
A stuck deal still sits in your forecast at its stage’s probability, so the forecast is too high. Every pipeline review, someone reads it, shrugs and moves on. The report prices two things:
- 6 minutes of rep time per stuck deal per month, at $65 an hour: $78 per deal per year.
- 10% of the stuck deals’ open value, as pipeline at risk.
Both assumptions are printed in your report.
What “fixed” looks like
- Stage rules. The exit criteria you define at kickoff become required fields at each stage. A deal can’t move forward half-filled.
- Stage-change task. If you want a task created when a deal changes stage, or an alert when it ages out, name it at kickoff. We build it and test it on a live record before handover.
How it stays fixed
Stage requirements stay in your CRM after we leave. Radar (coming soon) is being built to flag stalled deals to your team every day.
