Preflight check
Stale open deals
Open deals nobody has touched recently for their stage.
How Preflight finds it
It takes each open deal’s last touch: last activity if we have it, otherwise the last stage change, otherwise the creation date. It compares that against the stage’s limit:
- Lead: 14 days.
- In Progress, or any stage we don’t have a limit for: 30 days.
Why it costs you
HubSpot has no single “last activity” field on deals, so Preflight uses the deal’s last-modified date there, and the report says so.
Your reps and your forecast both treat these as live. A month of silence usually means the buyer has moved on, and the longer it sits the less likely a follow-up lands. This check is counted and rated but not priced separately. Stuck deals carry the dollar line.
What “fixed” looks like
The automations you name at kickoff, like a task on stage change, are built and tested on a live record. Required fields at each stage mean the next step has to be recorded before a deal moves.
How it stays fixed
Radar (coming soon) is being built to flag stalled and gone-dark deals as they happen.
