How Preflight finds it

Any open deal with an empty owner. On HubSpot, “open” comes from your pipeline’s own closed and won settings. On Attio, it comes from your stage names. If your stages don’t make it obvious, you tell us at intake which ones count as open.

02

Why it costs you

Nobody follows up, and nobody gets asked why. Per deal, this is the most expensive line in the model:

  • 5 minutes a month of someone chasing it, at $65 an hour: $65 per deal per year.
  • 15% of the deal’s open value, as pipeline at risk.

On Attio, owner is a required field on deals, so this shows up mostly in HubSpot.

03

What “fixed” looks like

Every open deal has an owner: 100%, checked by script at handover. If you want deals reassigned automatically when someone leaves, name it at kickoff and we’ll build and test it.

04

How it stays fixed

Owner can be one of the required fields at each stage, so a deal can’t advance without one.
